What is the wage ceiling for ESIC coverage?

Employees earning up to ₹21,000 per month (₹25,000 for persons with disabilities) are covered under ESIC. Employees above this threshold are not covered.
What benefits do employees get under ESIC?

ESIC-covered employees are entitled to medical benefit (full medical care for employee and family), sickness benefit (70% of wages for up to 91 days), maternity benefit, disability benefit, and dependent's benefit in case of employment injury or death.
Can a startup in a non-notified area still register under ESIC?

ESIC is applicable to establishments in areas notified by the Central Government. Most urban and semi-urban areas are notified. If your establishment is in a notified area and has 10+ employees, registration is mandatory regardless of turnover.
